Against the grand backdrop of this Palladian mansion, Strokestown Park has curated a magical world filled with rich tradition, interactive moments, and unforgettable family memories.Experience the charm of this festive wonderland, from the bustling Elf Quarter where friendly elves delight children with holiday surprises, to the cozy fireside chats with Santa himself. Sensory & Accessibility Morning - Friday December 13th, 10am to 12pm. 

This year, Strokestown Park is proudly hosting a Sensory & Accessibility Morning on Friday, December 13th, to ensure everyone can experience the wonder of the season. This adapted morning offers a quieter environment, featuring small-group visits with Santa in the warm ambience of the mansion’s library. For those who need a break, a special chill-out area will be available nearby, providing a comfortable, calming space.

Paws & Claus - November 24th, 12pm to 4pm

For pet-loving families, the beloved Paws & Claus event returns on Sunday, November 24th, from 12 pm to 4 pm. Bring the whole family—including furry friends—to meet Santa in the Strokestown Park House library. On this special day, guests can meet the Irish Guide Dogs Midlands Branch team, accompanied by their loyal companions, and enjoy treats and grooming services for pets, courtesy of Petmania.Visitors can keep the festive spirit alive at the cozy Woodland Café, where the seasonal Christmas menu offers delightful treats and warm meals. The café is dog-friendly, so no family member gets left out of the celebration.

  • In the booking process, Santa will require a secret about your child / infant ... that only Santa could know! *Please keep these as brief as possible! (20 words max per child)
  • Annual membership holders are entitled to a 10% discount. If you have not received the discount code by email, please contact reception. Do not book without the code as the code cannot be applied after purchase.

The cost per photograph in a printed souvenir folder will be €12.50 with discounts available if more than one is purchased.

If you do not wish to avail of an official photograph you are more than welcome to take your own photographs during your visit.

  • Each guided tour has limited capacity for the safety and enjoyment of our guests.

  • A max of two adults per booking.

  • Only those on the booking confirmation may enter the house

  • All children must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Buggies are not permitted as part of this experience due to stairs and space available inside the house, we do provide secure storage at the check in.

  • Our guided Victorian Christmas Experience will take an estimated 75 mins max.

  • Dress appropriately for outdoor experiences.

  • All Covid Guidelines in place at the time of the event will be adhered to.

  • There will be the opportunity to purchase a family photo and additional photo merchandise with your booking. 

Strokestown Park| The National Famine Museum is cared for by the Irish Heritage Trust a non-for-profit charity and your attendance at our events contributes directly to the preservation of this beautiful property for everyone to enjoy.

  • All Children must be accompanied by an adult
  • Tickets for this event are non-refundable and not for re-sale by third parties.
  • Please take careful note of your date and time booked, as your event is a while away and it's easy to forget or mix up dates.
  • Please be aware if you miss your time or date we may not be able to accommodate you at an alternative time.
  • The booking service is not free, you will be charged for using it, a booking fee of €1.95 per transaction will apply.
  • It may be possible to amend your booking via the link that will be in your ‘booking confirmation email’ via contact with Visitor Service team.

Changes to Service

In exceptional circumstances it may be necessary at times to change the details or itinerary of the event or a booking. The Company reserves the right to make reasonable alterations to any booking made. In this event the Company will inform the Customer as soon as reasonably possible.
